Landscape Design: The Process

Every project is different, but the process always begins with a consultation, over the phone, and then on-site, so that we can discuss your ideas and measure the dimensions of your yard.

Next we will want to know how you intend to use your space and your budget. At Lush, we believe in deadlines. Time is precious and we don’t intend to waste it. We are happy to work with another landscape architect’s plans. In fact, we oversee various landscape designs that have been created by our colleagues here in Auckland.

 

A Great Garden Design Starts with Asking the Right Questions.

Here at Lush, we often have to stop ourselves from telling our clients too much information. You don’t need to know why a certain plant won’t flourish in the particular place you want to put it, all you need to know is that it won’t work! We are passionate about our trade and we are artisans at heart. With over 20 years of experience covering all aspects of landscaping – from hardscape construction to horticulture, we know what questions to ask. During your free one-hour consultation, you will receive advice on the following:

  • Garden Planting and Soil Improvement (feeding, mulching)
  • Decks/Pergolas/Fencing/Gates/Retaining Walls
  • Drainage and Irrigation Systems
  • Paving for Paths/Driveways
